I’ll be hungover from a wedding the night before, but still gonna send it.
Did some sendies through a muddy dirt road this weekend.
Now that I have a spare set of steelies, I’m shopping for cheap snow tires for Rallycross and winter.
215/55R 16 yields me these cheap results:
Cheapest tire I could find. $313 for a set. Decent rating too.
Second cheapest.
These were actually recommended on a Rallycross article featured !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . First s et I recognize.
These are wider tires (225 to 215) . Not sure about clearance in the wells. I might just stick with stock width so I don’t have to do excessive work to make them fit.
I also am #69. Nice. Other than that, any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

You’re going to want to pump those up as much as you can to keep them from debeading... Winters + rallycross + tall van = leverage..

I read that almost everywhere I’ve looked up. Going to purchase a small air pump to keep that up. Doesn’t seem like I need to do much more work to the vehicle itself.

One of these drove past the other day, and I’m pretty sure it had an aftermarket muffler. Did not sound stock (read: quiet) at all. And it was being driven in a very NSFW manner. I realize that it’s a more squarish Focus hatchback, but it still surprised me.

Certain models of the TC share the same engine as the Fiesta Ecoboost. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone tuned one. Mine has a boring 2.5 duratec. Curious how mine sounds with a louder muffler

Found that set on eBay for $100. Matches bolt pattern and offset. I love the way they turned out.

I mean I’d enjoy the drive, but something I can make in a day would be preferred as the wife usually doesn’t come, so being able to drive out watch/partake in the fun, and drive home is ideal.
